DaveandJenn – New Work at TrepanierBaer

On view now at TrépanierBaer is a stunning new work by DaveandJenn titled For Actaeon.

The artists looked to the story of Diana and Actaeon in Ovid’s Metamorphoses, which tells of Actaeon, hunting in the woods with his hounds, who happened by chance upon the goddess Diana bathing. The outraged goddess ensures that Actaeon can never tell what he has seen by changing him into a deer to be killed by his own hounds. This sculpture captures the moment of Actaeon’s transcendence, of life before and after death.

Carroll Taylor Lindoe’s exhibition Inch, Foot, Mile, Yard is also on view. If you have not seen it or would like to see it again, do come by for a visit!

We look forward to seeing you at the gallery!
