News: Patricia Feheley, C.M., Appointed as Member of Order of Canada

As 2021 closes TrépanierBaer is pleased to share with you that Patricia Feheley of Feheley Fine Arts has been appointed a Member of the Order of Canada: “for her long-standing contribution to the Canadian art scene, and her promotion of Inuit art and culture.”

For over 40 years,  Pat has worked tirelessly, and been an articulate, informed, and passionate advocate for Inuit art and artists. As she recently said in an interview with the Nunatsiaq News, “ If I have done anything over the years, I’d say I did my best for bringing Inuit art to the forefront of visual art in Canada… There’s just an extraordinary number of Inuit artists who are brilliant and fantastic. I didn’t do anything to make that happen, it’s all about them.”

Congratulations to our colleague and friend Pat Feheley for this well-deserved honour.
