(Every Story Has Two Sides)

Art Gallery of Alberta, Edmonton
September 17, 2016 to January 8, 2017

This new exhibition brings together the work of two renowned contemporary Canadian artists – Damian Moppett and Ron Moppett. Exploring the commonalities and intersections of their artistic practices, the exhibition examines a shared interest in mining the history of art; the artists use of strategies of assemblage and collage that are both modes of production and historical references; and how each of them interprets and represents the artist and the studio as both creative subjects and sites.

The exhibition will include a large work by each of the artists in Manning Hall and the atrium beginning in late August.

Presented by ATB, with the support of Artist Patrons Morris and Ann Dancyger; Margo Helper and Gregory Forrest; Trepanier Baer Gallery; Dell Pohlman and Laurent Raymore Pohlman
