Fall 2019 at TrepanierBaer
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Speaking of which, as the opening of the season approaches, and in advance of the onslaught of emails you will receive at the beginning September, we wanted to inform you about several exhibitions we are presenting this fall. Below is an overview; if you would like further details, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

In early September, TrépanierBaer will open the season with an exhibition of Micheal Smith’s most recent works, including the epic triptych titled Le Passage: a work of memory, reflection, and imagination representing the artist’s transatlantic journey from England to Canada in 1978. Included in the exhibition are several large-scale tondos and smaller-scale works. This will be our twelfth solo exhibition of Michael Smith’s work.
In October, we will present our first exhibition in Calgary of the great Canadian artist and illustrator Oscar Cahén (1916-1956). The exhibition will feature several new releases from the Estate.
We are proud to announce that in November we will present an exhibition of Carroll Taylor Lindoe’s work. Carroll is one of the nation’s most remarkable artists, with a practice spanning over four decades that has included sculpture, painting, photography, works on paper, and installations. After several years away from the commercial artworld, we are thrilled to re-present Carroll’s work to a new generation of collectors, curators and critics from across the country.
There will lots more too, including the release of Ryan Sluggett’s latest feature film, and Chris Millar’s long-awaited release of his most ambitious work to date.
