Han Sungpil in Havana
TrépanierBaer is proud to showcase images of Han Sungpil’s work at the Havana Biennial in Cuba, from November 15, 2024 – February 28, 2025. This installation, measuring 14 by 38.65 metres, covers one of the city’s emblematic façades in front of the El Capitolio Nacional de La Habana building. The installation features a large-scale photograph titled Frozen Fire 32, Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, 2021, in which the artist captured the snow-covered landscape and burnt trees of the Rocky Mountains damaged by wildfires in 2017. We are extremely proud of Han and the completion of this monumental project.
