TrépanierBaer is pleased to present the work of Ambera Wellmann. Ms. Wellmann was born in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, where she graduated in 2011 with a focus on painting, drawing and printmaking.  She is a recipient of several creation grants from the province of Nova Scotia, a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Creation Grant from the Government of Canada, and most recently, the 2016 Joseph Plaskett Award.

In August of 2016, Ambera Wellmann received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Guelph, and is currently shortlisted for the RBC Canadian Painting Competition.

* In the Viewing Room: Ambera Wellmann is presented at the gallery concurrently with Aujourd’hui Encore, an exhibition of eight Canadian artists.
