Of Time and Making
TrépanierBaer is thrilled to open Of Time and Making a curated group exhibition that features a selection of works created across different moments in each artist’s practice – new and recent works are installed alongside works made years earlier in an intentionally dense and unorthodox installation. The exhibition invites viewers to encounter the artworks not in isolation but in proximity creating dialogue as the works prompt one another, suggesting overlapping ideas and methodologies, similar and different material qualities, and hopefully revealing unexpected affinities.
By gathering many works together, we hope the exhibition creates a layered experience of time: the time of making, the time of looking and the time that accumulates between one work and the next.
