DaveandJenn: The Wellspring is the fourth exhibition in the One New Work exhibition series curated by Nancy Tousley. Calgary artists DaveandJenn have become known for their colourful, layered works in paint and resin, as well as their fantastical sculptures. Here, in their first installation work, the artists have created an immersive environment that transforms the gallery into an undersea grotto populated by an enigmatic presence. This resonant 21st-century artwork addresses the origins of life in the universe, cycles of life and death, the workings of complex systems such as coral reefs and human bodies and the interconnectedness of all living things.
