
Yves Trépanier Awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal
Congratulations are in order!
On February 2, 2023, Yves Trépanier was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition for being a leading figure and champion of the arts in Alberta and Canada. He has volunteered on many boards and committees including the Glenbow Museum, The Alberta University of the Arts, the Calgary Foundation, and the inaugural CADA and Contemporary Calgary boards; and he is President of the non-for-profit organization Art and the City, an advocacy group in support of public art in Calgary. Yves has used his internationally-known commercial gallery to launch many notable local artist’s careers.
Yves Trépanier is the founder, and co-owner with Kevin Baer of TrépanierBaer Gallery, a leading Canadian commercial contemporary art gallery. TrépanierBaer specializes in high quality contemporary Canadian and international art. Celebrating their 31st anniversary, TrépanierBaer enjoys a distinguished history. With well-established relationships across the country and internationally, the gallery continues to innovate, respond to change, and develop its role as a contributor to the health of Canadian cultural life.
